Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with manufacturing processes to support efficient production operations.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply primers, paints, stains, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts when necessary to move materials or equipment safely
- Conduct inspections to ensure paint quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with assembly or machining tasks as required, utilizing hand tools and power tools
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by minimizing waste and optimizing workflow
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints or coatings
Experience
- Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial painting preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding, machining, or assembly is a plus
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other heavy machinery is advantageous
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in painting and maintenance tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating applications
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to improve process efficiency

Pay: $17.65-$23.00 per hour
