About Ambassador Physical Therapy
Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Relations & Front Desk Operations
- Greet and check in/out patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage voicemail and email communication.
- Educate patients on clinic procedures, policies, and treatment plans.
- Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule new and existing patient appointments with accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage new referrals promptly and schedule patients as soon as possible.
- Follow up on missed or canceled appointments to ensure continuity of care.
- Insurance & Billing Support
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations.
- Communicate insurance coverage and payment responsibilities to patients.
- Collect co-pays, balances, and assist with billing-related questions.
- Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Assist with intake forms, documentation, and patient file maintenance.
- Support daily clinic operations including filing, faxing, and inventory of front office supplies.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with physical therapists and clinical staff to coordinate care plans.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of collaboration and respect.
- Take pride in your work and build strong, positive relationships with teammates.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field (preferred)
- 1+ year of front desk experience in a healthcare or physical therapy setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems.
- Preferred candidates will have strong computer skills, including experience with Apple products and Google Workspace.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
- Friendly and empathetic with a strong focus on patient care—plus a knack for keeping things upbeat.
Working Conditions:
- Busy clinical environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or files (up to 20 lbs)

Salary
