Ambassador Physical Therapy is a multi-site, evidence-based, private practice designed to deliver a dynamically different outpatient physical therapy experience. Description

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) serves as the first point of contact for patients in our physical therapy clinics. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance, coordinating care with therapists, ensuring an organized office, and positive patient experience.

We’re looking for a positive, team-oriented person to join our close-knit clinic. Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Relations & Front Desk Operations
    • Greet and check in/out patients in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage voicemail and email communication.
    • Educate patients on clinic procedures, policies, and treatment plans.

  • Scheduling & Coordination
    • Schedule new and existing patient appointments with accuracy and efficiency.
    • Manage new referrals promptly and schedule patients as soon as possible.
    • Follow up on missed or canceled appointments to ensure continuity of care.

  • Insurance & Billing Support
    • Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations.
    • Communicate insurance coverage and payment responsibilities to patients.
    • Collect co-pays, balances, and assist with billing-related questions.

  • Administrative Duties
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
    • Assist with intake forms, documentation, and patient file maintenance.
    • Support daily clinic operations including filing, faxing, and inventory of front office supplies.

  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with physical therapists and clinical staff to coordinate care plans.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of collaboration and respect.
    • Take pride in your work and build strong, positive relationships with teammates.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field (preferred)
  • 1+ year of front desk experience in a healthcare or physical therapy setting (preferred)
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems.
  • Preferred candidates will have strong computer skills, including experience with Apple products and Google Workspace.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
  • Friendly and empathetic with a strong focus on patient care—plus a knack for keeping things upbeat.

Salary

$16 - $18 per hour
