Job Overview
Ally Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy dedicated to providing personalized patient care and exceptional service to our local community. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist with daily operations, support patients with their medication needs, and help maintain an efficient and welcoming pharmacy environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with patients and being part of a small, collaborative healthcare team.
Duties
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Enter prescription information into the pharmacy management system
- Process insurance claims and resolve third-party rejections when possible
- Communicate with patients and healthcare providers regarding prescriptions and refill requests
- Answer pharmacy phone calls and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain proper inventory levels and assist with ordering medications and supplies
- Receive and verify incoming medication shipments
- Keep the pharmacy organized and compliant with state and federal regulations
- Support the pharmacist with daily workflow and patient care needs
Requirements
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Michigan Pharmacy Technician License (or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus
