Pizza Chef

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Pizza Chef to join our team! The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating a wood-burning stove, preparing artisanal pizzas, and ensuring exceptional quality in every dish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pizza Preparation and Cooking:
  • Craft authentic Italian-style pizzas using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Operate and maintain a wood-burning stove to ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection.
  • Create and execute signature and seasonal pizza recipes.
  • Menu Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and refine the pizza menu.
  • Innovate and introduce new pizza flavors while maintaining the authenticity of Italian cuisine.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure consistent presentation, taste, and quality of all pizzas served.
  • Monitor ingredients to ensure freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Manage dough preparation, proofing, and portioning to meet service demands.
  • Maintain the wood-burning stove, including proper lighting, temperature control, and cleaning.
  • Oversee inventory for pizza-specific ingredients and communicate ordering needs.
  • Team Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in pizza preparation techniques and wood stove operation.
  • Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations in all kitchen activities.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the work area and wood-burning stove.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pizza Chef
  • Expertise in operating and maintaining a wood-burning stove.
  • Strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and traditional pizza-making techniques.
  • Creativity in developing unique pizza recipes
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Culinary training
  • Basic understanding of kitchen inventory management.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
