Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in assisting our kitchen staff with meal preparation and ensuring food safety and quality. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Adhere to food safety standards and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the safety of our customers
- Assist with basic cooking tasks under the guidance of the kitchen staff
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation
- Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience in the food industry or a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
