Position: Production Lead
Location: Whistler, BC
Reports To: Executive Chef / Sous Chef
Position Summary
The Production Lead is responsible for coordinating daily food production activities to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency in support of Wild Blue's elevated Pacific Northwest dining experience. This role leads prep operations, supervises kitchen team members, manages inventory levels, and maintains the highest standards of food safety and organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily food production and prep activities.
- Coordinate production schedules to meet service demands.
- Ensure consistency in recipes, portioning, and presentation standards.
- Monitor product quality and freshness.
- Train, mentor, and support cooks and kitchen staff.
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and stock rotation.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards in accordance with BC regulations.
- Collaborate with chefs on menu preparation and special events.
- Minimize food waste and support cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure kitchen workstations are organized and operating efficiently.
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of culinary or food production experience, preferably in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for quality ingredients and culinary excellence.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of Pacific Northwest cuisine and sustainable sourcing.
- Formal culinary training is an asset.

Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
