Advanced Engineering Consultants (AEC) is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator with 3-6 years of experience to join our Columbus office.

AEC is a consulting engineering firm specializing in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, technology and fire protection engineering services. Founded in 1998, AEC has grown into a trusted consulting firm working for clients throughout Ohio, the Midwest, and the Country. Our clients include municipalities, state agencies, federal agencies, local education and higher education, healthcare, and commercial entities.

The Project Coordinator is an integral part of the AEC team. This person must be a team player, working closely with project managers, team leaders and fellow staff to assist with project schedules, and project organization. The project Coordinator will assist Project Managers in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial setup to completion. The ideal candidate has excellent time management and communication skills, is detail oriented, well organized and is committed to delivering quality results on tight deadlines.

Position Responsibilities

  • Self-perform the following:
  • Coordinate with Project Managers from project start to close out.
  • Enter project contract information in project management database.
  • Input and help maintain project schedules in project management database.
  • Generate project reports for managers, such as schedules and workload reports.
  • Archive projects at completion.
  • Assist / Collaborate on the following:
  • Producing project schedules for presentation to clients
  • Develop an understanding of software platforms (Smartsheet, and Deltek,) to assist project managers with project schedules and organization.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience with project coordination and administration.
  • Must have experience in the Architecture/Engineering or Construction Industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; high school diploma is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with software platforms Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and Adobe.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solving abilities and a talent for critical thinking and creative solutions.
  • Adaptability: Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Teamwork: A collaborative mindset and a positive attitude
  • Experience with Smartsheet platform preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek platform (Vantagepoint or Vision) preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
