JOB PURPOSE:
Under the supervision of the Director of Grants and Contracts, the Proposal Manager of Grants & Contracts will administer and execute the organizations assigned line of service grants and contracts processes. Primary Responsibilities include: Organize and successfully execute assigned program grants and contracts applications, including well-written, comprehensive narratives with timely submissions. Will be the lead point of contact for Senior Directors and Business Development staff with proposal preparation, award administration, reviewing government and non-government issued cooperative agreements and contracts; coordinating approval processes for pre-award and post-award actions.
The ideal Proposal Manager of Grants and Contracts should demonstrate excellent attention to detail, writing abilities, editing abilities, and should possess knowledge of private, public, and government contract and grant requirements.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Maintain up to date and accurate knowledge on each funding source, its eligibility requirements, documentation standards, contract monitoring procedures, exemptions, and additional requirements.
- Manage and execute the development of grant and contract submissions in accordance with grantor and agency guidelines.
- Build and maintain relationships with Business Development staff, Senior Directors, their staff, and shared services.
- Plan and develop grants and contracts development strategies and commensurate with Endeavors vision to strengthen the organizations reputation and impact.
- Review and coordinate award modifications, as well as needs for modifications to subcontracts and other agreements.
- Support grant/contract staff with administrative tasks related to compliance, generating grant/contract documents, etc.
- Maintain a grants and contracts calendar/schedule and a grant management tracking system to catalogue all prime contractors, subcontracts and other agreements.
- Work and collaborate with the Deputy Senior Director, Business Development Operations in developing new business relationships.
- Work and collaborate with the Director of Operational Growth to identify new sources of funding opportunities.
- Work and collaborate with the Director of Grants and Contracts to follow the grant and contract Standard Operating Procedures, development schedule, author assignments, and required submission details.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in business, management, or other social or human services fields.
Masters of Business Administration, Masters in Public Policy/Administration (preferred)
EXPERIENCE:
5+ years experience working with grants, contracts and at a local, state, and federal level, including a basic understanding of fundamental grant and contract regulations.
Demonstrated experience in local, state, and federal procurement or grant/contract activities, including proposal writing, pricing, and market analysis (2 + years).
Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Strong organization and project management skills.
Highly proficient in Customer Relationship Management Systems
Strong computer skills, including experience maintaining and manipulating a database. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and relevant software.
Experience with website maintenance and content management systems; knowledge of basic HTML.
Experience identifying and filtering pre-RFP and RFP opportunities.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion.
LICENSES: Drivers License with clear record. Project Management Professional certification (preferred).
VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
