Job Summary

Join our team and be part of a dynamic production environment where quality and efficiency are our top priorities. We are recruiting for a position in our Ready to Eat factory in Bantry, Co. Cork.

Key Responsibilities

The purpose of your role will be to oversee processes and quality of production from start to finish whilst supporting the teams and always complying with legislative guidelines.

Key tasks

· Conduct internal audits covering allergens, glass & plastic, hygiene and HACCP/company procedures, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions where needed.

· Carrying out quality inspections on products throughout the process.

· Maintain Standards by monitoring hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, quality, legality, allergen control, and traceability.

· Organise product testing, taste panels, and lab work, and work closely with other departments to ensure products meet specifications.

· Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS and Customer audits.

· Perform routine checks against specification, product weights, and quality logs, ensuring accurate records and compliance.

· Calibrate equipment such as weigh scales and temperature probes.

· Ensure all non-conformances and customer complaints are carefully logged, investigated, and closed out in a timely manner. Any risks, or evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification products, equipment, packaging, or raw materials, are dealt with and reported immediately to maintain product integrity and safeguard consumers.

· Handle product or supplier issues, assist with customer complaints, and support quality and technical activities.

· Verify labelling and controls, ensuring full traceability is maintained.

· Aiding production teams where necessary regarding product safety, quality or traceability control procedures.

- Carryout scheduled traceability exercises to verify ongoing compliance with documented procedures.

About You

· The successful candidate shall ideally have experience in a food manufacturing environment in the quality assurance/technical field.

· IT Literate.

· Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure.

· Build a good working relationship with other departments within the company.

· Excellent verbal/ communication skills.

· Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent attention to detail skills in relation to quality, traceability and labelling.

· Flexible to the needs of the business.

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year
