Scope of the Role

The Quality Controller (QC) is responsible for inspecting products before, during and after the manufacturing process to ensure that products align with the company and legal standards.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

· Complete Quality product checks on the line as per schedule and record (Xray, temp, gas etc.) and report immediately if any checks are out of agreed specification.

· Work closely with production to implement corrective action when required and as per SOP i.e., direction as per component weights.

· Verify lines are on the correct settings according to product being packaged (Check weigher, PA system, Xray and vision system)

· Verify food is assembled/presented correctly on the line as per product specification and work with line lead corrective action is needed.

· Verify line clean downs are correct and satisfactory.

· Ensure paperwork is completed correctly.

· Ensure GMP’s are being adhered to (e.g., Hairnets worn correctly, PPE changed as per schedule, using scoops instead of hands when assembling etc.)

· Coordinate quality control activities according to the agreed sampling plan while adhering to all policies and standard operating procedures

· Assist in training of standard operating procedures and completion of training records

· Monitor the production process in line with factory HACCP i.e., CCP checks and equipment.

· Ad hoc duties as requested by line manager

You will be reporting to the Technical Manager

Part time position. Work days - Sunday and Monday. 2 x 10 hour shifts.

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
