Risk Officer

Join our team as a Risk Officer at Amdax and help us become a leading crypto-asset service provider. In this key second-line position, you'll identify, assess, and help mitigate financial and non-financial risks across our organization.

We're looking for a proactive professional with strong Enterprise Risk Management expertise who can develop and implement effective risk strategies aligned with regulations like DORA. You'll collaborate directly with management and staff to protect both our business and clients.

As a Risk Officer at Amdax you will:

• Conduct risk assessments to identify emerging threats across market, credit, operational, IT, and cybersecurity domains

• Maintain risk management policies aligned with our risk taxonomy and appetite framework

• Build risk awareness and support first-line teams in implementing effective control measures

• Enhance risk frameworks based on evolving market conditions

• Collaborate across departments to design and implement strategic risk controls

• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance, working closely with the Compliance team

• Develop the Operational Risk Management framework with special focus on ICT risks

• Serve as key escalation point during security incidents, coordinating crisis response

• Create and deliver risk reports for committees, management, board, and regulators

• Stay current on cryptocurrency regulations to maintain compliance

• Implement risk management training and foster a company-wide risk-aware culture

What we require from you:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Computer Science, or Law, with advanced degrees (MBA, Master's) or professional certifications (FRM, CFA, CISA) considered a plus

• Minimum 8 years of experience in non-financial risk management and/or IT security, preferably within financial services, fintech, or crypto-asset environments

• Being able to use the knowledge and experience as a generalist

• Collaborative mindset with experience working across departments to implement controls

• Proven track record developing and implementing regulatory compliance frameworks with strong knowledge of risk management processes and best practices

• Sharp analytical skills and critical thinking abilities to design effective risk mitigation strategies

• Excellent communication skills for translating complex risk concepts into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders

• Proactive "can do" attitude with a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
