Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-driven Sales Manager to oversee and grow our sales efforts along the Norfolk area for our Defense Division. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry and a strong understanding of maritime safety products and services.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, promoting the full range of our products, and driving revenue growth across the region. This role requires a high level of professionalism, collaboration, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow sales operations within the Texas Gulf Coast region, following objectives set by the Sales Director.
- Drive sales across our full product catalog, including life rafts, PPE, boats & davits, and other safety equipment, through direct sales and authorized service partners or dealers.
- Manage annual budgets including revenue targets and profitability for assigned territories.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to support service delivery and product implementation.
- Support credit and collections functions in collaboration with finance.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with key defense and Oil & Gas customers.
- Develop strategic partnerships with service stations, shipyards, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in monthly sales meetings and report on KPIs, customer visits, and pipeline progress.
- Provide detailed feedback to the Sales Director through CRM tools and market data analysis.
- Promote customer solutions such as Ship Owner Agreements (SOA) and bundled service offerings.
- Perform other sales or business development duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the Oil and Gas industry (required).
- Experience with maritime, offshore, or defense-related products is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales process best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical skills for sales forecasting and territory planning.
- Ability to travel regularly within the Texas Gulf Coast region.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid driver’s license is required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $80,000 – $90,000/year
