We are looking for a Sales and Events Manager to join our team.

The Ramada Beacon has a rich history. All guestrooms, event spaces and our restaurant have spectacular views of Lake Ontario.

We’re looking for a motivated Sales & Events Manager to join our hospitality team. In this role, you’ll drive event and group sales, build client relationships, and ensure seamless execution of weddings, corporate events, and social functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment and excels at balancing sales strategy with hands‑on event execution.

Responsibilities

  • Drive group, corporate, social, and banquet sales to meet revenue targets
  • Responding to all inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Conduct tours, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts(often customized to meet specific needs)
  • Plan and coordinate events from inquiry to completion
  • Maintain an active pipeline through prospecting, networking, and industry events
  • Work closely with banquet, culinary, and operations teams
  • Oversee event setup and on‑site execution
  • Maintain CRM records and prepare sales reports
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and support repeat business with post events follow-ups.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of hospitality sales or event management experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Experience with weddings, corporate events, or banquet operations
  • Knowledge of CRM/PMS systems is an asset
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed

You should be creative, hard working, have a high level of attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • St. Catharines, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Hospitality & Events Sales: 2 years (required)
