Seeking enthusiastic career minded individuals to sell Wine, Liquor and Beer. Candidates should have experience in selling beverages in a very competitive environment. Strong knowledge of wine and spirits is necessary to be successful. The position will include calling on both Retail and On-premise accounts in an assigned area.

Skills needed

1. Effective Presentation skills to expand portfolio in existing accounts, as well as ability to make effective presentations to prospective customers

2. Develops strong relationships with customers by maintaining regular sales contacts with customer base

3. Build a strong territory with good distribution of company focus brands as well as specialty brands

4. Provide regularly in store tastings and staff training to on premise establishments.

5. Work closely with the Sales Manager and General Manager to grow sales and meet monthly goals and expectations

6. Attend all training that is provided. At this time, mainly through Zoom.

7. Responsible for assisting customers in any billing or special shipping needs. Along with properly communicating those instructions to the customer service staff.

8. Attain monthly sales goals as well as placement goals of focus brands.

This position is about showing up on time to meetings with customers, suppliers and sales. This job requires lots of travel by automobile. As with most sales positions, this is not a 9 to 5 job. You must be available to meet the customers on their schedule. Sales are generally conducted Monday through Thursday, with Meetings on Friday (via Zoom), and in-store tastings are expected on Fridays and Saturdays, but this is not every week.

Minimum Requirements

High School or GED

Massachusetts Resident with drivers license

Entry-level with recent college grads welcome

Reliable transportation

The position can be grown into a full time position over time. The main area of coverage is from Lee to the Northern Berkshires, with a single monthly visit to Southern Berkshire.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
