Sawyer

Bushnell Truss is a small truss manufacturer. We specialize in wooden roof trusses and wooden floor trusses.

We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our team. The Sawyer will be responsible for operating automated saws to cut lumber for truss manufacturing. Ideal operator will already be familiar with Monet, Alpine, and MiTek saws. This is a day shift position. The current hours are 7AM to 4:30PM. We are also working mandatory Saturdays. If you like making overtime, this is your place.

**Duties:**

- Operate sawing machinery

- Inspect and measure cut lumber to ensure accuracy

- Adjust saw blades and feed rates for optimal cutting performance

- Maintain a production quota

- Maintain and clean saw equipment daily

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times

**Experience:**

- Proven experience in operating sawing machinery for a truss plant

- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the woodworking industry

- Understanding of machining principles and practices

- Must be able to read and write in the English language.

- Must be able to do basic math with fractions and decimals.

- Must be able to bend down, stoop, crawl, pick up heavy objects, stand all day, and work in all weather conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
