Join our Chemco Distribution Team as a Senior Account Manager – Food Ingredients, where you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong client partnerships while identifying and developing new business opportunities within our expanding organization. Your duties will include:

Sales & Account Management:

  • Generate and secure new business opportunities
  • Build your personal brand and the business brand with our customers to increase our competitive advantage within the market.
  • Cultivate and grow existing customer relationships through exceptional customer service and strategic upselling.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Manage the assigned market strategically to increase sales, portfolio and market share.
  • Drive market share growth by aligning sales efforts with company goals.

Prospecting:

  • Proactively source new clients and supplier partnerships to expand our reach.
  • Maintain and grow current customer base with ongoing discussions and support.
  • Explore untapped market niches and generate leads through networking and industry events.
  • Prepare tailored quotations and proposals to win new business.

Customer Engagement

  • Conduct regular client visits to understand their business and requirements.

Reporting:

  • Generate sales reports, forecasts and other reports as required.
  • Keep our Customer Database system up to date with customer details, sales activity and order information
  • Share best practices and collaborate with team members to drive collective success.

Market Information / Intelligence:

  • Stay ahead of industry trends by gathering insights on competitors, pricing, products and services.
  • Research market and customer information and performance in the marketplace.
  • Update and maintain information on the in-house customer database.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of working within Quality Systems, such as BRC, FEMAS and ISO 14001.
  • Knowledge of Distribution within the food industry.
  • Strong Customer Service skills including use of Customer Relationship Management tool.
  • Proven ability to formulate and implement dynamic sales strategies.
  • Strong ability to build and nurture client relationships and proven track record of customer relationship establishment and development.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions.
  • Be meticulous in your work with attention to detail.
  • Reliable, hardworking and flexible, team player, fast learner.
  • Excellent communication both verbal and comprehension.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Job Type: Full-time
