At Bord Gáis Energy, we’re transforming our digital platforms to deliver seamless, secure and customer-first experiences. We’re looking for a Senior Digital Experience Manager to lead our digital experience capability, combining strong technical understanding with people leadership and strategic direction.

This role leads a multi-disciplinary team of specialists and works closely with technology, commercial and marketing teams to design, build and optimise high-performing digital platforms.

About the role:

  • Own the digital experience strategy across web, mobile and customer-facing platforms, translating business and customer needs into technical and experience roadmaps.
  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performing digital journeys, underpinned by strong UX/UI, accessibility and front-end best practice.
  • Oversee the development and optimisation of digital platforms, websites, mobile applications and customer self-service journeys.
  • Partner with IT on architecture, integrations, APIs and platform performance, ensuring reliability, security and scalability.
  • Drive data-led optimisation through analytics, experimentation and A/B testing to improve engagement, conversion and customer outcomes.
  • Build, manage, and inspire the digital team who have expertise across disciplines (design, development, content, product).
  • Define and track KPIs covering performance, availability, engagement, conversion and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all digital platforms meet accessibility (WCAG), privacy (GDPR) and security standards.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Strong leadership experience managing digital teams and complex digital platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of customer journey mapping, UX/UI design systems and front-end delivery.
  • Solid technical understanding of modern web and mobile architectures, CMS platforms and digital ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics, tagging, experimentation and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT, architects and product owners.
  • Commercial and customer-focused mindset, able to balance experience quality with delivery and ROI.

Tools & Technology:

  • Digital analytics and optimisation: Google Analytics, ContentSquare, A/B testing tools
  • Experience platforms and CMS: Adobe Experience Manager (or equivalent)
  • CRM and personalisation: Salesforce (or similar)
  • Delivery and collaboration: Jira, Miro, Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Monitoring and performance: Datadog or similar observability tools
