About Us

Cooper Enterprises is a growing cross-border transportation brokerage that specializes in LTL, truckload, and courier freight services between Canada and the United States. We also offer consolidated customs clearance and warehousing solutions. As we expand, we're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to help manage incoming and outgoing freight, including high-volume courier parcels, and ensure accurate, timely handling of goods.

Position Summary

As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, preparing, and shipping goods with a strong focus on LTL and courier parcel handling, accuracy, safety, and efficiency. You’ll play a hands-on role in supporting our logistics operations, helping to ensure all freight—including courier shipments—moves smoothly through our facility and on to its final destination.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive inbound freight and courier parcels, verifying contents against packing slips or bills of lading.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage and report discrepancies.
• Sort, scan, and process courier packages using handheld devices or online systems.
• Organize and store materials and parcels in the warehouse according to inventory procedures.
• Prepare outbound shipments, including labeling, packaging, and documentation.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receiving logs.
• Coordinate with dispatch and customer service teams to meet shipping deadlines.
• Keep warehouse and dock areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics role.
• Experience handling courier parcels is strongly preferred.
• Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good physical condition – able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and inventory tracking tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and team player mentality.
• Experience with cross-border shipments or customs documentation is an asset.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, from 10 AM to 6 PM.
