Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
Location: Auckland

Reports To: Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and telecommunications issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, telecommunications, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve IT problems, including VoIP, telephony systems, and mobile device management.
- Maintain and manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and enterprise applications.
- Support business-critical systems and ensure seamless integration with hardware, including label printers.
- Respond to service requests and incidents through a ticketing system, prioritizing and escalating as necessary.
- Configure, install, and maintain IT and telecommunications equipment, including computers, peripherals, VoIP phones, and mobile devices.
- Assist in software deployment, updates, and security patch management.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of telecommunications systems, including PBX, VoIP, and conferencing tools.
- Document technical solutions, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines for internal use.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on IT and telecommunications best practices.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and telecom support.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and telecommunications systems.
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VoIP, PBX, and telephony systems.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and infrastructure management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- IT and telecommunications certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified, Avaya, or VoIP certifications) are an advantage.
