We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage the daily logistics of our product shipments, coordinating with mills, carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience in transportation planning, forest products or commodities, and strong communication and organizational skills.
BASIC
- • 3+ years experience in custom tariff
- • Previous experience working with cross border shipments is required
- • Multi-tasking will be an asset
- • General knowledge of Canadian and US Geography
REGULATION
- • Knowledge of USMCA (United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement)
- • Knowledge of CERS (Canadian Export Reporting System) Portal
- • Knowledge of Export Permits
LOGISTIC
- • Obtain truck transportation rate
- • Maintain transportation rate & update
- • Knowledge of truck size, max. weights for different type of truck
- • Obtaining new trucking companies from various media outlets
- • Knowledge of completing US Proforma Invoice and Canada Custom Invoice
GENERAL
- • Proficient in Math
- • Understanding of Bill of Lading
- • Respond to trader, customer enquiries in a timely manner
- • Tracking shipments from loading to delivery
- • Comfortable and proficient answering the phone, checking emails and learning system (Lumber Track, TMS) and Carrier Point
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
