Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, managing transportation schedules, and ensuring efficient communication across various departments. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Dispatcher plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations within our supply chain and freight management processes, supporting overall business efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SyteLine software.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
• Utilize Trans plus fleet manager and other data entry systems to track shipment statuses, update records, and generate reports.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette.
• Monitor freight movements within the supply chain, analyzing data to optimize routes and reduce delays.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to shipping, receiving, and freight invoices.
• Assist with analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers to coordinate logistics operations efficiently.
• Handle inquiries related to freight status, shipping schedules, and delivery issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Fleet Manager or similar software.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes and freight management practices.
• Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) providers preferred.
• Excellent data entry skills with high typing speed and accuracy.
• Strong analysis skills to interpret transportation data and identify efficiencies.
• Exceptional communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures is a plus.

Pay: $38,012.41-$79,836.64 per year
