Located in Richmond’s historic Scott’s Addition which offers a wide range of craft breweries and local restaurants within walking distance, Scott’s Addition Animal Hospital is seeking full time veterinary technicians to join our team.

SAAH opened in March of 2021 and is a growing, busy small animal practice that offers routine care, hospitalization, surgery, and dental services. We currently are a two-doctor practice looking to expand. We are continually growing, and we are looking for new team members to join our team and grow with us.

We are looking for self-motivated, upbeat, responsible candidates that are professional and dedicated to providing the best care to our patients and clients. Candidates must be able to work well in a team environment and be a member of our positive team culture.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

· Patient care/husbandry/proper restraint

· Administering vaccinations, catheter placement, administering medication

· Obtaining samples (blood, urine, cytology)

· Preparing/testing/reading samples

· Preforming anesthesia

· Surgical assisting

· In house laboratory testing

· Equipment maintenance

· Dental prophies

· Dental radiology

· Digital radiology

· Assisting in ultrasounds

· Patient invoicing

· Client education

· Maintain medical records

Candidate must hold or be eligible to hold a Virginia LVT license

Degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution

Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
