Stan Dawe Building Centres has been serving building supply customers in Central and Western Newfoundland since 1947. We employ over 60 associates and managers throughout the region and our Team is growing! We are currently hiring a Warehouse Associate at our Riverside Drive location in Corner Brook, NL.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all policies and procedures regarding health and safety
- Assist customers with selection and loading of building materials
- Accurately pick customer orders
- Assist in loading trucks for delivery
- Unpack and put away stock and organize within the appropriate storage areas
- Safely operate forklifts
- Assist in keeping the warehouse and yard clean, tidy and safe
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors
The Ideal Candidate:
- Adheres to work safety rules and regulations at all times
- Provides outstanding customer service
- Is detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy
- Works well as part of a team
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Is able to lift heavy loads as the job can be physically demanding
- Is able to work outside in variable weather conditions
- Has knowledge of building materials
- Would have forklift training, however, this is not a requirement as training will be provided
