Position Summary:

The position of a welder/fabricator performs various production related functions to produce company and customer required components or projects. Welders must be able to:

• Follow production drawings
• Follow project layouts
• Complete tasks assigned
• Obtain and maintain required weld procedure qualifications (CWB)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest level of quality workmanship
• Operate machinery
• Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Demonstrate competency in FCAW, MCAW and SMAW
• Follow direction given by lead hands/foreman
• Perform all duties in the safest manner possible
• Report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to management
• Work at a rate that will maintain project schedules
• Know the equipment being used and maintain it as required by OHS and manufacturers recommendation
• Understand the work assigned to limit re-work and to be aware of the potential hazards involved.

Qualifications Required:

The successful candidate for this role will have some combination of the following qualifications:

• 3+ years previous fabrication experience
• Registered welding apprentice
• Journeyman Welder Certification
