Job Summary

E&G is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Wildlife Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for wildlife and problem-solving, with strong technical and customer service skills. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting properties, safely and humanely removing nuisance wildlife, and performing exclusion and repair work to prevent future intrusions.

Responsibilities

  • Inspections and Assessments: Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties, including roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas, to identify nuisance wildlife activity, entry points, and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Wildlife Removal: Implement humane and effective strategies for trapping and removing a variety of wildlife, such as raccoons, squirrels, bats, and other animals, in compliance with all local and state regulations.
  • Exclusion and Repair: Perform minor carpentry and exclusion work to seal entry points and repair damage caused by wildlife. Tasks may include installing screening, chimney caps, vent covers, and other barriers to secure a property against future animal access.
  • Customer Communication: Serve as a knowledgeable and professional point of contact for customers. Clearly explain findings, service plans, and preventative measures in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all service activities, materials used, and client interactions. Maintain organized records of work performed and effectively communicate outcomes to management.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all company vehicles, tools, and equipment are maintained and operated safely.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing paid training to stay current on the latest techniques and compliance requirements for wildlife management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; higher education in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in wildlife control, pest management, or a related field is preferred, but paid training is available for motivated candidates.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces) and at heights (on roofs, ladders).

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role that requires significant physical stamina and strength. Candidates must be able to:

  • Climb and work on ladders.
  • Lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Walk, balance, stoop, and crawl into tight spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
