Job Summary
Busy medium sized Milford law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 3 to 5 years of Litigation experience. Candidates must possess strong analytical abilities as well as excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills. We are looking for a bright, motivated self-starter with hands-on experience. Must be admitted in CT.

Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies and legal opinions.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Assist attorneys and independently conduct hearings, trials, depositions, negotiations, and client meetings by organizing case files and evidence.
- Support various practice areas including environmental law, litigation and estate planning.
- Participate in client interviews and meetings to gather pertinent information and provide updates on case progress.
- Maintain meticulous records of case activities and ensure compliance with all legal administrative procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions for complex legal issues while adhering to deadlines.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law or litigation.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms including LexisNexis.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to interpret laws, regulations, and legal precedents accurately.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Prior legal administrative experience is preferred but not mandatory; a proactive attitude towards learning is essential.
