BAR MANAGER EXPECTATIONS & Daily RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports directly to the Food & Beverage Director

Responsibilities include, but not limited to

· Keeping up with all ordering: Beer, wine, liquor, prep items, equipment/supplies

· Scheduling staff: Make sure all bar positions are covered for the day.

· Keeping up with cleanliness and organization behind the bar.

· Doing weekly inventory (if the end of month is during the middle of the week you don’t need to do it that Sunday). Train someone to help you.

· Working with the bartenders to create a fun and unique beverage menu.

· Keeping the recipe book up to date.

· Making sure produce and such is used in a timely manner to avoid waste.

· Dealing with disgruntled or unruly guests and trying to solve things peacefully.

· Working to keep up standards behind the bar and consequently being the “face” of The Watch.

· Working with Sales & Catering to order event/specialty wine. (liquor, wine, glassware)

· Giving the FOH staff item descriptions (beer, wine, liquor)

· Specialty cocktails for parties

· Working with beer/wine reps for menu/placements for special guests visiting the hotel

· Wine tastings/ Wine & Beer Replacements

· Keeping Social Hour wine in order

· Cocktail menu development

· Keeping an open line of communication between us for any questions, ideas, techniques, tools and such.

· Attending BEO meetings.

· Communicating with each other about absentees, any issues arising with staff, reps coming to visit.

· Dealing with all hiring and training for the Bar.

· Posting on schedulefly about any announcements, updates, policy changes.

· Keeping uniforms in check/appropriate.

· Attend manager meetings as neccessary

· Working with sales for any upcoming cocktail classes they book for guests and deciding who will be teaching.

· Communicating with F&B or Ass. F&B when you need glassware, silverware or tools. (if you need bar tools see if you can work with a rep to get them for free)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $1.00 per hour
