Company description
Established in 1997, the Glencar Inn is an ideal spot to come for a great nights' craic or a quiet pint. All tastes are catered for.
The Lounge is always lively with the best in live sports and great nightly entertainment, while the Bar is perfect for a quiet pint and a bit of banter. Parties and private functions are catered for and bar food is available.
We also host darts competitions, quiz nights, charity functions and we have a golf society.
Boyles Sports Bookmaker are situated next door.
Live Music every, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Darts nightly, and pool table available.
We have a heated smoking area at the rear of the bar.
Our Off Licence has great deals on beers, wines and spirits.
Job description
A successful candidate will ensure our customers are welcomed and served in an efficient and friendly manner. Duties and responsibilities include
- Supervise bar staff with the ability to motivate
- Ensuring standard operating procedures are met
- Create a positive and efficient environment
- Maintain an efficient Bar and store room
- Welcome customers and enquire of their needs
- Place stock orders
- Have a good knowledge of beverages available
- Ability to adapt to changing environments
- Support Management in the day to day running
The Ideal Candidate
- Possess good customer service skills
- Good communication skills – written and verbal
- Good understanding of cash handling and till operation
- Self-motivated and motivator
- Your shifts/hours will be varied according to the business needs, which will include day-time, night-time and weekends.
Salary: Negotiable on experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €14.50-€18.50 per hour
Experience:
- Bar: 1 year (preferred)
