Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team and ensure exceptional service in a vibrant hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, and a passion for delivering memorable customer experiences. This role involves overseeing daily bar activities, managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. A background in restaurant management, hospitality, or food service management is highly desirable, along with experience in casual dining or fine dining settings. The Bar Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, supervising staff training and development, and supporting overall restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient and smooth service during shifts
• Lead and motivate bar staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold quality standards
• Oversee food preparation and beverage service, including cocktail mixing and barista functions if applicable
• Manage POS systems such as TOAST for order processing and cash handling
• Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control stock to minimize waste while meeting customer demand
• Train new staff on food handling, safety protocols, POS usage, and customer service expectations
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of the bar area
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, and scheduling to optimize operational efficiency
• Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
• Support kitchen management activities related to food production when necessary
• Participate in hiring processes including interviewing candidates for open positions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry
• Extensive knowledge of food preparation, beverage service, and kitchen operations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
• Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training & development, team management, and shift supervision
• Background in casual dining, fine dining, catering, or hotel hospitality environments preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to manage inventory control effectively and perform cash handling accurately
• Previous experience with restaurant or bar management software is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
