Tiglin is seeking an enthusiastic, organised and compassionate Community Employment (CE) Supervisor to oversee the delivery of a Department of Social Protection (DSP) Community Employment Scheme within a Drug Rehabilitation Programme.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting people in recovery to develop skills, gain meaningful work experience and progress towards education and employment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising participants, coordinating training, managing programme administration and ensuring compliance with DSP Community Employment procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the Community Employment Scheme.
  • Support participants through one-to-one key working meetings, Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), reviews and progression planning.
  • Facilitate groups and participant recruitment, assessments and referrals.
  • Source and coordinate QQI-accredited and personal development training.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, databases and programme documentation.
  • Prepare payroll, financial returns, training claims and reports in line with DSP requirements.
  • Liaise with the Department of Social Protection, external agencies and community partners.
  • Monitor participant attendance, progression and overall programme outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with CE policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the programme and participate in organisational planning and team meetings.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' supervisory experience within a drug rehabilitation or related service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting individuals in recovery or other vulnerable groups.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of QQI programmes and participant development.
  • Experience working with DSP Community Employment procedures, training administration and financial monitoring.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Skills

  • A relevant third-level qualification in Addiction Studies, Community Development, Social Care or a related discipline.
  • Experience using Welfare Partners, ECASS or similar database systems.
  • Knowledge of the Community Employment Drug Rehabilitation Framework and recovery-oriented practice.
  • Project management and programme coordination experience.
  • Strong coaching, mentoring and motivational skills.
