The Opportunity

The Catholic Community Fund (CCF) is seeking a Client Services Officer to join our team in Newcastle West on a permanent part-time basis.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient and professional service. Working closely with the CCF Operations Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Fund by assisting members with enquiries, processing transactions, maintaining records and ensuring administrative activities are completed to a high standard.

As the first point of contact for many of our members, you will build positive relationships, provide information and support, and contribute to a seamless customer experience. The role also includes a range of banking and administrative responsibilities, including reconciliations, account maintenance, transaction processing, and relationship management.

To be successful, you will have experience in a customer service, banking or financial services environment, along with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, enjoy working collaboratively and have a genuine commitment to providing exceptional service.

Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this position is to support the CCF Office Manager in attending to the day-to-day functions of the CCF. The Client Services Officer provides accurate and timely support to our members ensuring a high level of customer service is provided, efficiently processing transactions and associated administrative tasks.

The incumbent commits to working within Work Health and Safety guidelines and Code of Conduct at all times whilst in the employ of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

Skills and Experiences:
EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Thorough understanding of banking procedures, including cash handling, confidentiality and security
  • Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing tasks in an organised and efficient manner with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and Teams
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Well-developed people skills with the ability to build relationships quickly
  • Polished communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information into simple terms to suit the customer
  • Ability to promote teamwork and foster a collaborative work environment
  • Honest, trustworthy, with strong ethical values and a commitment to work within the Catholic Community Fund’s Mission, Vision and Values
  • Willingness to participate in further professional development
  • Experience in using Ultracs core banking system (Desirable)
  • Experience working in customer service role within financial services industry (Desirable)
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience within a customer service, banking or financial services fast paced environment
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Tier 2 Certificate in Financial Services - RG146 (or willing to obtain) (Desirable)
