Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your expertise in pricing, negotiation, and project management to contribute to the company's growth and success.
Duties
- Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates based on project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Analyze project documents to identify potential risks, scope changes, or value engineering opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of bid packages and submission of competitive proposals.
- Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction industry trends, pricing strategies, and market conditions.
- Support project management teams throughout the construction process by providing cost analysis and budget control insights.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to analyze complex project data and develop accurate cost estimates.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices is preferred.
This position is integral to our project's success by ensuring accurate budgeting and competitive bidding strategies that align with our company's goals for quality and efficiency.
Pay: $52,235.14-$115,237.52 per year
