YMH is a leading builder of modular dwellings and commercial buildings servicing the Lifestyle, Tourism and Commercial sectors. With facilities in both Mulwala NSW, and Bendigo VIC. All our modular buildings are designed and built to the very highest standards with a true focus on quality.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Estimator to join our team based at our Bendigo office. You will work closely with the entire team and report to the Business Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Produce sales estimates to reflect the client’s requirements.
• Follow company checklists to capture and process all information required to determine costs.
• Produce sales estimates to support the workflow process from Proposals (including amendments),
• Ensure that sales estimates are modified accurately to suit the requirements of the engineers, surveyors and building surveyors.
• Prepare and document specific estimates in accordance with the YMH design and construction details
• Complete Take Off’s and maintain inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Estimating Software
• Set prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules; and
• Liaise with several internal stakeholders including Sales, Designers and Estimating teams.

Skills:

• Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail.
• An interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to provide feedback to management; and the ability to thrive in a goal driven, dedicated team environment.
• PlanSwift and DataBuild experience is highly regarded but not essential. S
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Sound knowledge of building materials/products would be advantageous

Qualifications & Experience:

• An Associate Diploma in Building Construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred)
• A Minimum 2 years’ experience working with a builder as either a Sales or Production Estimator.
• Working knowledge of the building and construction industry.
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating is a must.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
