We are looking for a detail oriented full time, in person, Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at A&A Commercial Contractors in Columbia, MD. In this role, you will assist in coordinating various commercial tenant fit out projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope and in alignment with our company’s strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
· Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Director of Construction
· Support project planning and execution tracking project progress and maintaining project documentation.
· Preparation of project proposals, reports, budgets and presentations for ownership.
· Coordinate meetings as needed.
· Permits – work with architect and government agencies on permit processing, scheduling inspections and to obtain Use & Occupancy certificates.
· Work closely with Director of Construction and Superintendent to ensure all project tasks are completed accurate and on time.
· Help identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
· Communicate effectively with Tenants, internal teams and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are clearly understood and executed.
· Distribute plans out to subcontractors to obtain Proposals for Tenant fit outs.
· Prepare and maintain Project Books for all tenant fit outs
· Prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion
· Submittals – receive and send submittals to architect for review and approval
· Invoices - Review, enter and code all incoming invoices for A&A Commercial Contractors and give to Director of Construction for approval
· Lien Waivers – prepare Lien Waivers for payments to subcontractors
· Order construction dumpsters and port-a-pot as needed for construction jobs
· Meet with contractors and tenants on site as needed to review job schedules and discuss fit out work
· Order field verifications from Architect for new tenant fit outs.
· Meet with Tenants to do a turn over punch list walk through.
· Maintain accurate data entry and updates in company systems.
· Certificates of Insurance – maintain COI’s for all current contractors
· Business Licensing and Insurance – maintain A&A Commercial’s business license and work with insurance company on yearly business liability, auto, workers compensation and other required insurances.
· Perform additional administrative or coordination tasks as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Worked in a commercial construction atmosphere for at least 3 years
· Previous experience in program coordination, project administration or customer service preferred
· Strong organizational with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
· Proactive problem solving abilities and a keen attention to detail
· Adaptability in a dynamic work environment and openness to feedback
· Able to work independently and part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
