Are you ready to bring your skills and passion for food to one of Waterford’s most exciting culinary destinations? The Copper Coast Inn is looking for a talented and reliable Cook to join our team as we launch our new food offering at our fast-growing pub and speakeasy venue.
Known for our premium Irish craft beer selection, curated cocktails, and speakeasy-style events, we’re now adding a food menu to match. We’re looking for someone who can prepare great-tasting dishes with consistency, quality, and care — in a kitchen that focuses on hearty pub favourites, locally inspired specials, alongside bespoke menus for private events, whiskey tastings and food pairings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and cooking a range of pub-style dishes with a focus on quality and presentation with a focus on Irish ingredients and creative presentation.
- Assisting in creating weekly specials and seasonal offerings.
- Design food pairings for events such as whiskey and craft beer tastings and private functions, along with rotating specials that reflect our local roots.
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are always maintained.
- Maintain kitchen systems to ensure quality, consistency, and smooth service across all shifts.
- Create a supportive, driven, and creative kitchen culture with room to grow.
- Managing stock levels and assisting with ordering as needed.
- Work closely with our management and events team to create unforgettable food experiences tailored to client needs.
- Deliver flawless execution and premium presentation across all events.
- Minimise waste and maximise quality while ensuring value for money.
- Source top-quality ingredients locally and seasonally where possible.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working as a cook in a busy pub, café, or restaurant.
- A genuine passion for food and delivering a consistently high standard.
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Experience designing menus for both daily service and bespoke events.
Bonus: Experience with tasting menus, or pairing menus is a big plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€40,000.00 per year
