About the Role

As a Daycare Assistant, you will support our lead teachers in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers. You’ll play a key role in building routines, encouraging positive behavior, and helping our little sprouts grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care and supervision of children (infants to toddlers).
• Follow the Brilliant Sprouts Academy standards: manners, cleanliness, respect, and consistency.
• Keep classrooms clean and organized (wiping tables, sweeping floors, sanitizing toys).
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
• Support meal prep, feeding, diapering, and restroom breaks.
• Monitor safety and provide first aid if needed.
• Help maintain consistent diaper-changing schedule (every 3 hours & as needed).
• Communicate with parents about their child’s progress and daily activities.
• Collaborate with lead teachers to support lesson plans.
• Provide extra care and patience for children with special needs or unique challenges.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare experience (daycare, preschool, nannying, or babysitting).
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Ability to follow routines and handle classroom responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
• Reliability, patience, and a genuine love for children.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with infants and toddlers (feeding, diapering, soothing, playtime).
• Must be dependable and punctual children and families are counting on you.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
