Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Positive attitudes valued over experience. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Duties:

- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by ensuring cleanliness and stocking necessary supplies

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support to patients

- Take dental X-rays as directed by the dentist

- Perform basic dental laboratory procedures such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including dental documentation and treatment plans

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions

- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment

- Schedule patient appointments

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program

- Current certification in dental radiography

- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

- Proficiency in using Open Dental or similar practice management software

- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals

- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
