Key Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and organized
  • Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Support clinical procedures by anticipating the dentist’s needs and ensuring efficient workflow
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
  • Perform basic laboratory duties, including pouring and trimming dental models
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized operatory in compliance with infection control standards

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Dental Assistant required
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
  • Previous experience in a dental receptionist or front desk role is an asset
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical records management and HIPAA compliance standards
  • Solid understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
  • Experience with CAD/CAM technology and digital impression systems is considered a plus

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficient in dental practice management software for scheduling, charting, and patient record management
  • Solid understanding of medical documentation standards and recordkeeping procedures

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.85 - $17.70 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

  • Macon, GA 31206: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Work Location: In person
