Overview
A respected skilled nursing facility in Manhattan is seeking a Director of Safety & Security to lead all safety, security, and emergency preparedness functions. This is a key leadership role responsible for department management, regulatory compliance, staff oversight, and maintaining a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee safety, security, and emergency management programs.
- Manage departmental staff, training, schedules, and performance.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety rounds, and security audits.
- Oversee the Environment of Care program.
- Direct emergency preparedness planning and drills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead safety training across the organization.
- Manage operating and capital budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of management experience; healthcare strongly preferred.
- Fire Safety Director Certificate required.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and emergency preparedness.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
