Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold high standards of cleanliness and food safety
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies for cooking staff
• Support the kitchen team by maintaining a clean work environment, including sweeping floors and cleaning prep stations regularly
• Handle food items safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to health regulations
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food supplies, ensuring proper storage and inventory management
• Support cooking staff with meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of orders
• Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen operations and maintain a safe workspace for all team members

Skills

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic meal preparation tasks with attention to detail
• Familiarity with serving procedures and understanding of kitchen workflows
• Strong organizational skills to keep work areas clean and supplies stocked efficiently
• Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
• Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude

Pay: $17.60 per hour
