Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other machinery. This role involves performing various excavation and construction tasks on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout all operations. Candidates with a strong background in construction and mechanical knowledge are encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects such as paving, horizontal drilling, and general site development.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers with precision and safety.
• Perform site excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling according to project specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning; perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly.
• Assist with horizontal drilling and other specialized construction tasks as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently on busy construction sites.
• Adhere to project timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and pavers.
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Prior experience in construction projects involving horizontal drilling or paving is a plus.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely in a dynamic construction environment with a focus on safety standards and procedures.
