Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Excavator Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and other machinery essential for large-scale construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction site safety protocols. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for performing precise excavation tasks, supporting paving operations, and assisting with horizontal drilling activities to ensure project efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with horizontal drilling and paving operations as needed
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications
• Support other construction activities including site cleanup and material handling as required

Experience

• Proven experience operating excavators in a construction environment
• Familiarity with dozer, loader, backhoe, grader operation, and horizontal drilling techniques
• Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience working with Caterpillar machinery is preferred
• Construction industry experience is highly desirable
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory for all roles
• Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
