About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Farm Hand to join our team. This is a year-round position involving daily farm operations, equipment operation, and maintenance. During winter months, the role includes snowplow operation.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor work, has mechanical aptitude, and can operate machinery safely in all weather conditions.
Responsibilities Farm Duties (Year-Round)
- Assist with livestock care (feeding, bedding, health checks),
- Support crop and fieldwork: planting, cultivating, harvesting, etc.
- Operate tractors, loaders, skid steers, and other farm equipment
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on machinery and tools
- Maintain farm buildings, fences, driveways, and work areas
- Complete general labor tasks such as stacking bales, cleaning barns
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications
- Farm experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate
- Experience operating tractors or heavy equipment required; snowplow experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Flexible availability during winter storms
