Position: Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician
Location: Fort McMurray, AB
Salary: $67/ HR
Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Journeyman heavy equipment technician (off-road) (On-Road) (Required)
• Experience in surface mining: 5 years (Preferred)
• Proficiency in English (Preferred)
• Willingness to undergo Mandatory Drug & Alcohol testing
• Site Specific training requirements

About the Role: We are looking for skilled and experienced Journeyman Heavy Equipment (Off-Road) & (On-Road) Technicians for open pit mining, construction and truck transport operations in Alberta. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with a variety of equipment brands, including CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere, Volvo, Kenworth, Western star, Frieghtliner, International

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair a variety of heavy equipment
• Adhere to safety and performance standards
• Work effectively in team settings

Schedule:

• 12-hour shift work on a 14/14 rotation
• Day and night shifts available
• Also 10-hour Monday - Friday with overtime evenings and weekends

Experience Required:

• Surface mining equipment: 5 years (Preferred)
• Knowledge in equipment such as 777, 789, 793, 797, D6-D11, 16H-24M, 830 - 930E, 4100B/C, EX3600 - EX8000, etc.
• Construction equipment experience is a plus
