Job Overview
Construction company located in New Castle, DE seeks an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR initiatives and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills and extensive knowledge of HRIS systems, employment law, and organizational development. The Human Resources Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies that align with company goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA, and other regulations.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts through sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top candidates using an HRIS platfors such as ADP, Oracle HCM, etc.
- Manage employee orientation programs, training & development initiatives, and succession planning to ensure continuous workforce improvement.
- Oversee performance management processes, employee evaluations, and conflict management strategies to promote a high-performance culture.
- Administer benefits programs including workers' compensation, health benefits, retirement plans, and other employee benefits administration.
- Supervise HR sourcing activities, organization design projects, and process improvement initiatives to optimize HR operations.
- Handle employee relations issues with professionalism while maintaining compliance with FMLA, Workers' Compensation laws, and other legal requirements.
- Lead strategic planning efforts related to human capital management and change management to support organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance on contracts and management of HR programs aligned with company policies.
Requirements
- Construction background a plus.
- Proven experience in supervising HR teams with strong leadership skills in managing talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management.
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law including FMLA, OSHA regulations, Workers' Compensation, and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems such as ADP, Oracle, or similar platforms; strong data analysis skills for reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, process improvement, program management, and organizational design.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leadership and staff at all levels.
- Strong background in training & development programs as well as employee performance evaluation processes.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally while maintaining confidentiality; experience in conflict management is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; advanced certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR are a plus. Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
