Towne and Country Animal Clinic is a well established Veterinary office located in Fairborn, Ohio. We are looking for a kennel assistant to join the team providing high-quality care for both healthy and hospital patients staying at our facility. The kennel assistant's primary responsibility is to care for our canine and feline patients while tending to the upkeep of the area. We prefer someone with kennel or animal related experience, but are willing to train the right candidate.
Job responsibilities include: providing high-quality care for both healthy and hospital patients staying at our facility, which includes providing outside time, food, water and medicating patients as well as monitoring their general health during their stay. In addition to the care and up keep of patients, the kennel staff takes care of the facility which includes: cleaning and disinfecting kennel areas, cleaning yards, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, restocking food and other cleaning duties as needed. Kennel staff must have the physical strength and stamina to move heavy patients and objects.
Candidates should be dependable, observant, pleasant, detailed-oriented and enjoy interacting with both patients and their families. Ability to manage time efficiently and self motivation are a requirement. Compassionate care towards our patients is invaluable.
Shift hours include a 6am -1 pm shift and a 1p-8 p shift and require flexibility. Kennel shifts are Monday-Sunday, and working weekends and holidays are a must. Weekday shifts are primarily the 1p-8p shift, am through the week is only occasional.
Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
