About the Role

DayOne is building its flagship hyperscale data center campus in Lahti, on a former industrial site in Kiveriö. The campus is designed to use Finland's naturally cool climate for free cooling, with air-cooled chillers that remove the need for freshwater cooling. Join the Lahti team early and help shape how a campus of this scale is built, commissioned, and run.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance planning activities that support the reliable operation of data center infrastructure. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, vendors, and contractors to coordinate planned preventative maintenance, support corrective maintenance activities, and ensure maintenance information remains accurate and up to date.

Your key responsibilities will include,

Maintenance Planning and Coordination

• Planning and coordinating asset management services, including preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Supporting condition monitoring and lifecycle planning activities.
• Ensuring systems are serviced in accordance with manufacturer and company standards.
• Coordinating maintenance and upgrade projects with vendors and contractors.
• Following up on Change Management approvals.
Preparing and maintaining the 52-week maintenance plan.

CMMS and Documentation Management

• Ensuring maintenance data remains complete and accurate within the CMMS system.
• Maintaining records related to maintenance reports, faults, asset information, and spare parts.
Utilizing the CMMS system for planning and records management activities.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensuring maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Maintaining documentation and records required for audits and certifications.

Operational Support and Strategic Initiatives

• Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to support efficient system performance.
• Supporting reporting requirements for operational leadership.
Participating in budget planning and cost management activities to support operational efficiency and financial performance.

Requirements

Technical skills

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance planning, ideally within a critical environment or data center.
• Strong experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Experience supporting technical teams and 24/7 operational environments.
High attention to detail and accuracy in planning, documentation, and analysis.

Soft skills

• Flexibility to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high integrity and a collaborative working style.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Finnish is considered a benefit.
