Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair
tasks to ensure the proper upkeep, safety, and functionality of the condominium’s buildings,
common areas, and grounds. This role supports the overall comfort and satisfaction of
residents and helps maintain the property’s value and appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and
painting.
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas, equipment, and systems to identify and
resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in mechanical rooms, storage areas, and maintenance
workshops.
- Assist with landscaping, pool maintenance, and trash removal as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and condominium policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and supply inventory.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services.
- Support seasonal maintenance tasks such as hurricane preparation or holiday lighting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Florida driver’s license preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders.
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
