Overview
We are looking for a medical office assistant for a busy and established Internal Medicine practice out of Kootenay Lake Hospital. Full time available. Duties include scheduling, reception, and managing documents within an EMR, and correcting dictations.
Previous medical office experience with Accuro EMR and/or Interior Health is an asset. Please send your CV along with a list of references to rkw_23@hotmail.com
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems Accuro.
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and ensure efficient office operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is an asset.
- Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and phone systems.
- Experience with electronic health record systems Accuro and Meditech is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
