Hotel Isaacs are recruiting for an enthusiastic and responsible Night Manager to ensure that the hotel operates smoothly and safely during the night shift,.

Main duties:

· To give a warm and friendly welcome to all guests and customers entering the hotel.

· To ensure the front door is answered promptly when guests are returning to the hotel.

· To check in and check out guests in an efficient and helpful manner, ensuring that they enjoyed their stay.

· To be responsible for guest security – room keys and luggage.

· To answer the telephone, transfer calls and take messages efficiently.

· To be responsible for the reception float, ensuring it is correct at the end of the night shift.

· To assist and work in other departments when necessary.

· To report any complaints or incidents of accident/fire/loss or damage.

· To carry out any reasonable requests made by management.

· To consistently exercise diligence in ensuring that the hotel is secure.

· To ensure that no unauthorised persons enter the premises during the night shift.

· To be familiar with and adhere to procedures in the event of fire.

· To operate machinery and equipment, caring for it as necessary and ensuring adherence to Health and Safety procedures.

· To ensure that reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises.

· To ensure that all external doors are locked at the appropriate time.

· To ensure that all fire escapes are kept clear and not obstructed by rubbish or any other matter.

· To perform security walks at least once per evening, checking all stairways in hotel and apartments, ensuring all fire escapes are clear of obstruction and lobby bathroom clean and presentable.

· To ensure that all cleaning duties are carried out on a nightly basis as per Standards of Procedure.

· To ensure that all public areas within the hotel and directly outside are clean and tidy at all times.

· To attend to any basic maintenance around the hotel, eg: changing lightbulbs etc. and to bring any maintenance requirements to the attention of the reception team during handover.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

-Minimum five years of experience in hospitality sector

-Fluent English

-Excellent communication skills

-Team player

-Practical and responsible professional

-Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
